Provide operational leadership for the Louisville Vycar operation.
Proactively prevent injuries to personnel, damage to the facility, and environmental non:compliances and releases. Instill a team focus that promotes individual ownership and looking out for others.
Develop, implement, and improve systems to ensure that products meet all specifications.
Set and maintain operational and capital budgets proactively seeking opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Participate in process troubleshooting, development and optimization of new equipment and product lines, development and implementation of process control schemes and resolution of environmental issues.
Utilize the Performance Career Management system, coaching, and training to develop each member of the staff.
Focus on reliability of the operation and ensure that the plant infrastructure is well maintained for long term operation.
Provide input to assist with the strategic direction of the plant.
Develop and maintain communication lines with other functional areas of each business including R and D and Sales/Marketing.
Provide leadership to plant support personnel including reliability, process controls, and process improvement with the objective of improving all plant processes.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ten years minimum experience of process engineering experience and/or manufacturing management.
B.S. in chemical engineering or related technical field.
Proven leadership skills.
Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with individuals at all organizational levels.
Occasional travel required.
CONSIDERED A PLUS:
Knowledge of SAP and DCS.
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
Experience in a PSM facility
