General Summary of Duties:develops database and web applications to support the Patient Account Service Center (PAS). Responsible for ascertaining business requirements from PAS business users, incorporating those requirements into applications that meet the defined need(s), and assisting Application Development Manger with duties, as assigned; including maintenance and support of ongoing applications. Duties Include (not limited to this list): Assists in developing, supporting, and maintaining database and web applications.Documents technical requirements by working with Application Development Manager or business user.Completes application development tasks assigned, according to project plan (if applicable) and communicates obstacles.Assists in developing prototypes/models and determining data sources (as applicable).Follows technical and developmental standards when developing database and web components.Executes application unit testing plans. Documents and resolves resulting defects.Coordinates system and user acceptance testing (as appropriate).Creates and maintains application documentation.Assists in analyzing and executing change requests and enhancement.Resolves application issues, as instructed.Develops appropriate application controls to mitigate operational and financial risks.Acts as a liaison between Application Development and PAS business users.Actively participates in application design sessions.Provides technical guidance to business users.Devises technical solutions to promote business activities.Performs monthly application monitoring and maintenance, as assigned.Acts as a resource on projects.Adheres to and supports organizational IT&S standards, policies, and procedures.Adheres to Code of Conduct.Performs other duties, as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical knowledge achieved by taking advantage of internal team mentoring and attending professional development opportunities.Technical skills: SQL server database and programming skills, .NET, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Office products.Database configuration and integration concepts (foundation understanding) to provide end-user support.Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical applications.Skill to support and troubleshoot issues and processes in packaged software applications, internally developed applications, and interfaces.Ability to assist with design of technical solutions and overall technical envisioning of projects.Knowledge of application and interface/integration design, development, testing, and deployment.Ability to design and develop user interface and data architecture of web applications.Ability to design and implement databases in SQL Server and utilize SQL Server stored procedures and views for data transformations.Ability to work as an integral member of the team Education: Bachelor's degree Information Systems or related.Equivalent work experience may substitute education. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years Information Technology experience, including databse and web application design.Experience in .NET development using C#.NET.MS SQL Server database design and development of stored procedures/SSIS packages.Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience with Microsoft IIS/Windows, or equivalent server platforms.Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and design..NET MVC/MVVM experience preferred.Data warehousing knowledge is a significant plus.Sharepoint development experience preferred, though not required.
