Job Description This position is focused on the support, development and documentation of mission critical business systems. The position will be a part of Onovative’s application development team based in Louisville, Kentucky. Responsibilities include the day-to-day monitoring of Onovative client systems, remediation and support tasks for Onovative systems and data integration tasks for new and existing client implementations. This position is required to work within a team environment to produce and maintain quality systems supported by thorough and accurate documentation. The Developer I is expected to leverage industry best practices for the maintenance and creation of software applications. The position requires a demonstrated willingness to participate in a team environment. Job Responsibilities: Monitor client support channels and system metrics to ensure that support requests to ensure Onovative support activities are logged and worked in a timely manner. Perform activity with a focus on detail and documentation and leverage industry best practices for software development tasks. Produce technical and user documentation that is thorough and accurate Participate in project design discussions to ensure software solutions are in-line with specifications for the requested change or production fix Establish environment of teamwork within application development organization and between application development and other business units Ensure documented policies and procedures for application development processes are followed Provide project status updates as required to management or project lead Communicate potential project impacts to appropriate personnel in a timely fashion Professional Qualifications Education Completion of technical certification or boot camp with an application development focus. BS/BA degree with technical concentration is a plus. Qualifications 1+ year of experience in an application developer role working with Microsoft C# Solid understanding of relational databases, T-SQL, and NoSQL concepts. Previous exposure to Postgresql a plus. Exposure to MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript and XML MUST be authorized to work permanently in the United States Required skills in Ability to clearly communicate with members of the development team, internal business stakeholders and external clients. Positive attitude and a pro-active approach to tasks. Methodical approach to solving problems must be demonstrated Exposure to working in development environments that implement formal project SDLC methodologies such as Kanban, Agile/Scrum and Waterfall is a plus. A “can do” attitude and a passion for excellent customer service
