The Transport and Logistic Operator will be based in Louisville, KY. Responsible for the day to day end to end management of the Spare Parts Logistics Transport Network. This role includes operations that include pick, pack and ship, shipment exception management, carrier performance, milestone planning and management, critical shipment management. This role

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do

* Manage day-to-day operations associated with SPO orders from Customer to CDC and FSL warehouse operations and then through the transport network to end customer.

* Manage movement of all orders using different transport modes especially Courier, Next Day Road and AIR to ensure orders arrive within the designated complete customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and accurate communication between all internal and external parties. Ensuring all orders are managed according to their order type and service level commitment.

* Ensure warehouse and FSLs pick and pack orders and send order confirmations on time to ensure timely dispatch of shipments follow up proactively.

* Monitor all order upgrades or downgrades per the transport management rules in the transport Critical Code A and Code A-Alert closely monitor these orders to ensure timely delivery in TAT Replenishment Orders ensure CDC provider performs consolidations in line with customer rules.

* Closely manage all shipment exceptions using TMS dashboard and other tools and highlight any anticipated risks to Transport.

* Lead Manage all shipment milestones up to and including IOD (Information on Delivery) and request POD where needed.

* Ensure that all issues related to service failures are followed up on and corrective action implemented. Interface with 3PLs to monitor operational measurements and request action plans.

* Work with customer field engineers on their needs and in particular urgent order requests.

* Work with SPOC team on all order referrals, Work with FSLs and Field for all return orders including good returns, DSA's and Cesals.

* Work with metrics team to ensure shipment performance is correctly reported each month space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.

Here is some of what you'll need (required)

* 2-5 years' experience/ knowledge of transport operations. Courier, parcel, LTL and BFO (Best Flight Out) type operations is an advantage

* Good understanding of customs regulations and what shipments are affected by that.

* Good understanding of H&S requirements in the transport business specifically with knowledge around dangerous goods shipping and regulations.

* Understanding of the 3PL market, the players, their processes and how nest to manage the 'tricks of the trade'

* Creative thought process to always look to optimize the business

* Customer focused with strong service delivery skills

* Have aptitude to learn technical applications and associated processes, quickly.

* Ability to work under pressure with high sense of urgency and manage multiple priorities with confidence.

* Analytically minded to investigate and understand shipment performance issues

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Ability to formulate and implement action plans.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience logistics, supply chain or business an advantage

* Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications

* Willingness to work flexible hours over different shifts to meet needs of customer
