The New Opportunity School for Women, Inc. (NOSW), a nonprofit organization whose mission and programming center on improving the educational, financial and personal circumstances of low income women in the Appalachian region seeks qualified, experienced candidates for the new position of Marketing/Communications Coordinator at its Berea, Kentucky location.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a new position and will serve as an advocate for and promote awareness of the needs of low-income women in Appalachia. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Program Manager and Board of Directors to create and oversee a comprehensive marketing and communications program in support of annual and strategic goals and assists in the promotion of NOSW to donors, graduates, participants, community partners and potential participants. Responsibilities include the development, updating and maintenance of NOSW website, coordinating the production of our quarterly newsletter, development of NOSW social media strategy, coordination of design of NOSW’s promotional material, establishing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that supports NOSW’s fundraising efforts and promotes the organizational mission. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will also provide written, organizational and technical support to the Program Manager.

Position is 40 hours per week, full-time, salaried with occasional travel and additional day, evening and weekend hours as needed to meet position needs, including during the two residential sessions each year (February & November). A competitive salary and benefit package are offered. The position is expected to begin in February 2018.
